Wally Brill's Covenant mixes historical recordings of cantors (Jewish Liturgical singers) from the '20s, '30s and '40s with world, ambient and dub elements to create timeless but innovative soundscapes. Along with the contributions of avant-garde guitarist David Torn, the album's arrangements include tablas, digeridoo, trumpet and Tibetan singing bowls, as well as keyboards and acoustic & electronic percussion.
