"Thank You for Being a Friend" is a song written by Andrew Gold, who recorded it for his third album, All This and Heaven Too in 1978. The song was later re-recorded by Cynthia Fee to serve as the theme song for the NBC sitcom The Golden Girls. The Golden Girls is easily one of the best written and acted sitcoms of all time. The chemistry between actors Bea Arthur, Betty White, Rue Mcclanahan and Estelle Getty was immediate from the very first episode. If I had to narrow my favourite episodes to my top five they would include: The Lesbian Episode, The Priest Episode, The Midget Episode, and The Flu episode. Cynthia Fee's version of this song was too short for this video so I had to use the original. I've included pictures of everyone in some of the funniest episodes. Enjoy! Thank You For You Comments.
