"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" by Tanya Tucker is a sad song about feeling very alone. The lyrics describe a quiet night with sad sounds like a whippoorwill and a faraway train. The singer talks about how time feels like it's moving slowly. They mention a hidden moon and a crying robin, which show how sad they feel. The song talks about missing someone a lot and wanting them to be there. It speaks to people who know what it's like to feel lonely and wish for someone to be with them.

Tanya Denise Tucker, born on October 10, 1958, is an American country singer and songwriter. She started her music career at 13 with her first hit song "Delta Dawn" in 1972. Unlike many child performers, Tucker kept her audience as she grew up, making her one of the few to do so. She had many popular songs over the years, like "What's Your Mama's Name?" and "Strong Enough to Bend". Throughout her career, she earned nominations for Country Music Association awards and released successful albums. In 2019, her album "While I'm Livin'" won a Grammy for Best Country Album, and the song "Bring My Flowers Now" from the same album earned her a Grammy for Best Country Song.
