Description
My name is Pamela Coloma, I’m from Ecuador.
This time, I’m sharing the story of Etsa and the Demon Iwia in Spanish. The transcription is based on the system proposed by the Hangeul Nuri Foundation, with my own adaptations to perfectly capture the sound of Spanish and certain words from the ancestral Shuar language of Ecuador.
All of the images in the video were created by me, exclusively for this project. The main characters—Etsa, baby Etsa, and Iwia—were handcrafted from foamy, and I photographed the scenes in the Ecuadorian rainforest. Other details, such us the Shigra, the figure screaming from inside the Shigra and the stars, were designed in Canva to bring extra life to the story.
The background audio features the real sounds of jungle animals, recorded by me in the Ecuadorian rainforest.
