Written by the late Motown soul legend, Marvin Gaye, and a big hit for him (#29 - Canada RPM Singles/#1 - Billboard R&B/#9 - Billboard Hot 100/#6 - Cash Box Top 100).

In 1972, the late Grover Washington Jr. (famous for his smash hit, "Just The Two Of Us") covered Gaye's song and released it as a single. The original album version ran 7:12 (Gaye's album version ran 5:16, one minute and 56 seconds shorter than Washington's cover). When Kudu Records released the single, it was edited to 2:25 (Gaye's single version ran 33 seconds longer, clocking in at 2:58).

Washington's version only reached #42 on the Billboard R&B chart, and never made the Billboard Hot 100. On the Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart, the song only made it to #120.
