Yes, there is hope… is composed by Ziad Rahbani for orchestra and voice. We performed it with 2 guitars arranged by Edy Dorlian and Marieange Dorlian. When Ziad listened to it, he was really pleased with its simplicity.
Ziad was so much present in our life even though we didn’t see him a lot. We all felt covered by knowing that he’s going through what we’re going through in our torn Lebanon… his death created a huge hole around all of us… that is pushing and challenging us to fill it with creative ideas and beautiful sounds and music to follow the path that he prepared for us …
The video I made here is from my visit yesterday to the Fogg Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The art work is by Rashid Johnson and it’s called Untitled Broken Crowd… the video is made as a salute to Ziad Rahbani and how he colored our broken Lebanon and lives 🙏
