For Ep59 I enlisted Rap Superlegend AZ to perform a mashup of these 2 classics. AZ brought a level of lyrical sophistication + street knowledge that changed the game forever.

When putting this together I noticed his hit record “Sugar Hill” segways perfectly into “Life’s A Bitch,” the only rap feature on Nas Illmatic. This was a huge honor and I was very excited to bring back the singers from my Styles P episode Jamie Homs & Jessie Wagner. Also introducing my homie from way back Doug Fitch on percussion.
